“And a servant who knows what the master wants, but isn’t prepared and doesn’t carry out those instructions, will be severely punished. But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” -Luke 12:47-48
Are you selfish with the gifts and talents that God has blessed you with? Maybe you’re self-confidence is low, or you still believe the person who told you that you would never amount to anything. Are you bound by people’s opinions? Well God has entrusted you with a gift and it’s up to you to use it on the earth for His Glory. If you’re a person who knows the will of God for your life and still have yet to cultivate those gifts, stop being stingy!
The world is waiting for you to make a change in someone’s life. But because you’re afraid to step out on faith, those who are waiting on you will suffer. We’ve all been hurt or disappointed more than once in our lives, so stop making excuses. Maybe you were raped, abused, or abandoned as a child. That hurt you experienced was for you to have a heart for those who went through the same stuff you’ve been through. Maybe you were supposed to open a group home for abused women, but since you’re afraid of failing, the people waiting on you continue to suffer…
Don’t let the pain you’ve endured be in vain. The things you have been through are not solely about you. According to 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, “Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we may be able to comfort those experiencing any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” The Bible also warns us that a servant who knows what the Master wants but isn’t prepared and doesn’t carry out those instructions will be severely punished. If you know what the Master wants from you, then be proactive! Stop being a sideline Christian and be salt and light in the earth! What are your thoughts? Leave a comment below.
