But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart -Matt. 5:28
Hips, waist, breasts, and booty is often what men get caught up on a woman’s shape and is taken away by lust. Unfortunately, some men go as far as cheating on their spouse or significant other. This is when men have “Trouble with the Curve” because of a lack of putting the flesh under subjection. This blog I wrote to all the men because I often get asked the question “Is it wrong for me to admire the looks of a beautiful woman?” I look at it like this: there are beautiful women everywhere and I don’t think there is nothing wrong for a man to admire the beauty of a woman. The key is not to get caught up in her beauty and then meditate on how she looks and the way her body is shaped or you already had sex with her in your mind. I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman –Job 31:1
I want men to remember there is nothing wrong with being attracted to the opposite sex! God made men sexual, God thought it was not good that man should be alone (Gen. 2:18) and this happened BEFORE the fall of man. The “Trouble with the Curve” is when we let our minds run free with lust because of the way a woman is built the way we like. Since most men are highly sexual and most struggle with lust here are some tips to help if you find yourself in an adulterous relationship or cheating on your significant other because you have “Trouble with the Curve.”
-Live a life of repentance to the Lord. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness -1 John 1:9. Repent as soon as your mind starts to think on things that are not of God. Struggling with lust is no easy thing! It takes practice and discipline of the mind.
-Stop “Liking” pictures on Facebook of “Video Models” or Half Naked Women. I had to unfriend childhood friends on Facebook because they “Like” video models and half naked women so those pictures show up on my timeline! If you struggle in that area unfriend those people no matter how close you are to them. You are trying to live a life pleasing to the Lord.
-Stay away from Pornographic websites and anything that opens the door to lust. Watching Porn quenches your Spirit (see 1Thess. 5:19) and after so long the stuff you watch on the computer you want to do in real life. Porn is more addictive than drugs and if you’re single watching Porn one could want to fornicate more or continual masturbation. If you’remarried it makes you think about the woman you seen in the Pornographic movie instead of your Wife when having sex.
-Renew your mind. You have to train your mind on what to think on because if not, your mind will take you back to the past Pornography movies you grew up watching (or currently watching) and the past women you slept with. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind –Rom. 12:2
